A HOTEL STEEPED IN HISTORY

Maintaining traditional -
Running a hotel is a passion.

For 13 generations we have continued what was started back in the 17th century in the Mohrenwirt. We strive to fulfil our guests' needs and offer them only the best in our captivating and romantic alpine surroundings.

First records show it dates back to the 15thcentury. In 1665 it became a hostel offering accommodation to those travelling over the Resia pass. In the same year it was taken over by the Theiner family and given the name “Mohr”. This was a typical name for that time derived from the 3 Kings from the Orient who are the patron saints of travellers.

Just like today, the Mohrenhof farm belonged to the inn back then, but over time it gradually relocated to the edge of the village. The 20thcentury saw the arrival of Plavina in 1979 following several conversion projects on the original house.

Following the last renovation project in spring 2018, guests can find whatever they are looking for. Total peace in a modern atmosphere in Plavina combined with the traditional homeliness from times gone by intertwined with understated present day luxury in the historic Mohren building. Wonderful wellness areas together with the finest culinary delights and a special art collection leave nothing to be desired.
